OhSoRetro Show 2024

This year, we made the OhSoRetro Show our main event. This decision was driven by the fact that the event takes place right in the heart of our community and is expertly organised by a local promoter who has a real passion for classic cars. We knew this show would be the perfect opportunity for us to connect with our community, showcase our work, and celebrate automotive culture. So, we went all in.

We arrived at the show with a carefully curated lineup of vehicles and displays that reflected our business and the passion we have for restoring, repairing, and maintaining cars. Among the highlights was one of our new DAF lorries, which had a crushed PT Cruiser loaded on it, creating an eye-catching display. Not only that, we also brought along a crushed PT Cruiser mounted on a 3.5T Reclamet recovery truck, giving visitors the unique opportunity to scribble on it. This interactive feature was a hit with the crowd, especially younger visitors who loved leaving their mark on the car.

For a bit of fun, we ran a competition with a PT Cruiser filled with balloons, challenging people to guess how many balloons were inside. Competitions like this add an element of excitement and engage people in a light-hearted way. It’s always great to see both kids and adults get involved in something like this, and this year we were thrilled to have nearly 80 entries!

In addition to the interactive elements, we had several stunning vehicles on display, including a beautifully restored E-Type Jaguar and a Ferrari 458 Spider, which also went through our expert restoration process. These cars certainly drew attention from car enthusiasts who appreciated the level of craftsmanship involved in bringing such iconic vehicles back to life. We also had an Austin Somerset on display, which had been repaired by our team at Reclamet Repair and Refinish. This classic car was a true testament to the skill and dedication of our technicians, and it served as a reminder of the diverse range of services we offer.

The atmosphere at this year’s show felt even bigger and more vibrant than ever. With over 1,500 cars on display, there was something for everyone, from vintage classics to modern supercars. Enthusiasts from all walks of life came to admire the vehicles, share their passion, and enjoy the camaraderie that events like OhSoRetro foster. Whether you’re a dedicated car owner or simply someone who appreciates beautiful machines, this show is a must-visit. It’s the kind of event that’s well worth travelling for if you’re not in the area.

Throughout the day, we had a steady stream of visitors stopping by our pitch. It was fantastic to catch up with familiar faces—friends of the business—as well as to make new connections with fellow car lovers and potential clients. The weather was on our side too, with clear skies and warm temperatures ensuring that everyone stayed in good spirits.

All in all, the OhSoRetro Show was a massive success for us this year. It was the perfect blend of community spirit, car culture, and business opportunities, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event.
